Wakeboard Manufacturers
Wakeboards are like one big
single water ski. My father made a very early version of a wakeboard
back in the 1960's. It was just a piece of plywood with two wood runners
and a rope that went from the boat to the front of the board. The same
rope which was knotted at the board then continued up into a makeshift
handle made from a plastic pipe. This old wakeboard was great for kids.
Dad would tow you with his boat while you layed down on the board. Then
you would work your way up to kneeling and eventually standing on the
board. The wakeboard was easier to learn on then waterskies and was a
lot of fun. Today's wakeboards hardly resemble my fathers homemade
board. They have adjustable bindings and are designed for high speed

Your Binding Selection: In 2005 the O'Brien Link Wakeboard
bindings are more practical and comfortable. They are a front
lace adjustable binding with a rubber toe piece allowing the
accommodation of different size feet. A new foot bed gives the
rider a more comfortable and orthopedically pleasing fit. The
new plate is designed to give you adjustment for your bindings
in practical angles. The slot on the plate has depressed
circles which perfectly fit the thumbscrew, disallowing any
plate movement while riding. Your Wakeboard Selection: The

our recreational line. The shape of the Oasis is a shape that
year after year has continually won over riders. The Oasis

tip/tail of the board allow the dual molded fins to track
